Effective 2026-06-16

1. What we collect

When you log in with Discord, we receive and store the Discord information needed to create and maintain your liar.dev page, such as your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, public flags, and email address if Discord provides it.

2. Profile and usage data

We store your claimed subdomain, profile content, links, theme settings, profile view analytics, claim review state, policy acceptance records, and account activity needed to operate the service.

3. Discord identity updates

liar.dev may periodically refresh public Discord profile details, such as display name and avatar, through Discord OAuth data or Discord-compatible public presence/profile sources. This keeps published profiles from going stale without requiring you to claim again.

4. How we use data

We use data to authenticate you, claim and display your profile, prevent abuse, run private-mode approvals, provide analytics, respond to deletion requests, improve reliability, and support paid features when they are available.

5. Service providers

We use providers such as Discord for login, Supabase for authentication and database storage, Cloudinary for media, Vercel for hosting, and Stripe for payments if paid features are enabled. These providers process data so liar.dev can function.

6. Cookies and sessions

We use secure cookies for login sessions, claim handoff, and short-lived onboarding state. These cookies are required for authentication and account creation.

7. Data deletion

You can request deletion of your profile and cached Discord profile data through the data deletion request page. You can also contact privacy@liar.dev. Some limited records may be retained where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or payment records.

8. Contact

Questions about privacy or data requests can be sent to privacy@liar.dev.
